On November 3rd, Pima County voters will be voting on a new set of Pima County bond projects. We urge you to vote YES on all of the bond questions and especially on Proposition 429: Public Health, Welfare, Safety, Neighborhoods and Housing.
It’s taken hundreds – even thousands – of voices to get Pedestrian Safety & Walkability on the ballot and included in the bond. It couldn’t have happened without the dedication of a diverse coalition of partners who showed up to meetings and spoke up time and again in support of a walkable region. Let’s ensure that all that effort is rewarded by making sure the bond passes this November!
Here’s a list of ways you can help make that happen:
- Make sure you are registered to vote. This is incredibly important! Make sure that you and any eligible voters in your household and social networks are registered as well. Early voting starts on October 8th and the deadline to register is October 2nd. Voter registration forms and info can be found here.
- Help get the word out. Social media makes it easier than ever to spread the word about the good initiatives happening in our community. Check out the “Yes on Pima County Bonds” website, make sure to follow them on Facebook, and get your social networks to do the same. Additionally, contact us if you’d like a yard sign, or would like some training on how to speak to groups to promote the bond package.
- Lend a hand. If you have time to help with phone banks or precinct-walking, please let us know.
The countdown is on. Less than two month to go!
