25,000 play in the streets at Cyclovia Tucson

We couldn’t have ordered better weather for last Sunday’s Cyclovia Tucson — the ninth event to be held in Tucson and the second event held in the fall. If you joined us, you were not alone! Some 25,000 people of all ages took to their bicycles, skates, boards, and feet to explore the 2.6 mile linear route through several historic Tucson neighborhoods.

There was plenty to see and do along the route with more than 85 different organizations offering free activities for all. Hundreds of you took part in the ¡Cinco for Cyclovia! scavenger hunt and we are excited to announce the winners of that giveaway. Please join us in congratulating:

We’d also like to congratulate Leslie Faltin who was chosen as the winner of the REI Flash Pack 18 prize giveaway for donating to the Cyclovia Fall Fundraiser Campaign! (And by the way, we have a few drink coozies left if you’d still like to make a donation.)

We thank everyone who participated in the ¡Cinco for Cyclovia! scavenger hunt and to our sponsors for donating such great prizes! We’ll have more activity partners, more prizes, and more chances to win in the Spring!

Last but certainly not least, we want to thank the more than 115 intersection volunteers, Super Volunteers, and group volunteers who helped keep us safe and energized along the route. Of note, please join us in thanking these fine groups here in Tucson for their service to Cyclovia:
