For the past several months the Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility (DTM) has been working to analyze existing conditions of our transportation network and to gain an understanding of community priorities. With 1st Avenue redesign, an opportunity to do so much more than address traffic

As an RTA-funded project, 1st Avenue will change drastically between Grant Road and River Road in the next 5 years. It’s currently a high-crash corridor with lots of foot and bike traffic, and the redesign provides an opportunity to make it much safer for people on foot and on bike.
