The Prop 411 special election is here—make sure to vote YES!
If you're a Tucson resident and registered to vote in Pima County you can expect to receive a ballot in the mail any day now for Proposition 411. If approved by Tucson voters, this proposition will extend Tucson’s current 1/2 cent sales tax for another ten years, generating an estimated $740 million. 80% of revenues will go toward repaving and resurfacing of residential streets while 20% will go toward specific investments to enhance safety on Tucson’s streets including things like traffic calming, street lights, and push-button signals. (Visit the City of Tucson’s website to read the ordinance.)
Living Streets Alliance believes that Proposition 411 will greatly enhance safety and mobility in Tucson and we invite you to join us in voting YES. You can learn more about our stance on Prop 411 by clicking below, and also visit the Yes on 411 Fix Our Streets website. Scroll to the Actions & Opportunities section below for a way to volunteer with the campaign this weekend.

Tucson Norte-Sur: Exploring a path for equitable transit-oriented development
Earlier in the year, the City of Tucson kicked off a process for developing an equitable transit-oriented development plan called Tucson Norte-Sur. The plan will identify opportunities for equitable reinvestment and access along a future 15-mile long North-South transit corridor stretching from the Tucson Mall / Tohono Tadai Transit Center in the North to the Tucson International Airport in the South.
Living Streets Alliance is part of the team helping to get the word out about Tucson Norte-Sur through creative collaborations and nontraditional engagement strategies. Find out more about what that looks like, why we're involved, and scroll below to the Events section for upcoming pop-up engagement opportunities in the project study area.

Big turnout and big support, thanks to you!
On Sunday, March 27th Cyclovia returned after 2.5 years along a route connecting downtown and South Tucson. It was a beautiful, joyful day and by far our biggest turnout ever. Thank you to all of the partners, participants, community organizations, volunteers, and sponsors who helped make it a huge success. Relive the day by scrolling through Kathleen Dreier's photo album.
Just a little over a week later, we were absolutely floored by the outpouring of support on Arizona Gives Day. We doubled our original goal for the day, raising over $21,000 in support Cyclovia, safe routes to school for children, more complete streets for all Tucsonans, and increased community connection. Thank you to all who contributed!
