The environmental impacts of EVs


There are a suite of environmental threats that electric vehicles (EVs) fail to address, as well as threats they introduce or exacerbate, which gets less attention than the changing source of fuel. In the second part of our discussion on EVs, learn about the impacts of adding new cars and new car infrastructures to the existing situation, which will accelerate environmental collapse where it claims to be halting it.

Tucson ranks 13th most dangerous metropolitan area for pedestrians


Smart Growth America recently released their annual Dangerous by Design report and the situation for people on foot across the country does not look good. 6th Avenue Asphalt Art mural preview events

This October the block of South 6th Avenue between Armory Park and Children's Museum Tucson is going to receive some big love. Thanks to a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies' Asphalt Art Initiative we're partnering with the City of Tucson to enhance safety and comfort through a combination of large street murals, planters, and flexposts. 

Concepts for the murals are being developed by Tucson artist, Yu Yu Shiratori. Come learn about the project and see what's taking shape this month at two pop-up events:
