The Community Corridors Tool: what it is and how it could affect transportation
Over the past few weeks there's been a lot of conversation about a proposed zoning tool being considered in Tucson. It's called the Community Corridors Tool (aka CCT) and it has the potential to incentivise land use in certain areas that would be more conducive to transit, biking, and walking.
Last week the Planning Commission discussed the CCT during a public hearing and voted to recommend the Tool's adoption to Tucson Mayor & City Council. That was a very encouraging step in the right direction, but there's still more work to do to ensure that the CCT gets adopted. It will now go to a public hearing before Mayor & City Council on Tuesday, March 18th. Click below to learn more and find out what you can do to support it.
